Workload Convergence

This feature uses virtualization and containerization configurations to consolidate mixed-criticality workloads. The following components help in achieving workload convergence. Click each component to learn more.

Component

Description

Microservice Architecture

Encapsulates a service into a lightweight unit of computation with defined resources and interfaces so that they can be orchestrated

ACRN Hypervisor

Defines a device hypervisor reference stack and an architecture for running multiple software subsystems, managed securely, on a consolidated system by means of a virtual machine manager

Real-Time Systems Hypervisor

Enables modern, multi core Intel® processors with Intel® Virtualization Technology to simultaneously run either multiple instances of a realtime operating system or a heterogeneous mixture of 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems on a single execution platform

KVM Hypervisor

Leverages KVM module in Linux kernel to run Microsoft Windows on top of a real-time system

Time Deterministic Application

This feature keeps industrial processes working predictably with deterministic time-series dataset.

The following components help in achieving data series. Click each component to learn more.

Component

Description

Real-Time Data Agent

Provides a unified and real-time way to read and write data from and to a shared memory

Time-series Processing

Provides template files for launching a time-series data processing stack consisting of the MQTT broker mosquitto, telegraf as data collection service, InfluxDB as time-series database, and Grafana for visualization
